I could give a hundred reasons why it hurts college students but if you’re only worried about your scholarships and financial aid then you can go ahead and rest easy because those aren’t included. All you have to do is maintain your GPA. The institution is unlikely to pull your funding for quite a few reasons. Don’t worry about the intricacies, just understand that college is not outwardly a consumer product and it would take several years of economic chaos before they started to hand out financial aid differently. They will make cuts elsewhere within the institution before they start telling students (tuition paying students) that they can’t offer their service.

  9. Basically, advertisement is a tool to create awareness about a product. In that sense, it is a link between seller and buyer. It allows buyer to know who all have a product for him and offer him choice. Imagine if there was no advertisement, you would not be aware of a competing product (Pepsi v/s Coke) and your choice would be limited to what your neighbourhood grocer keeps.

        There is currently a $7,500 tax credit that Bush implemented last year.That expires this summer.There were talks of a $15,000 tax credit for first time home buyers in this new bill,but i have heard it was removed.

Tune out those hucksters in the corporate marketing and their friends in congress. Buy less not more. Change the American dream and that doesn’t include overprices houses and cars. You do not really need the symbols of “success.” Take care of fundamental things, be thrift, patient and enjoy peace of mind. That is my idea of a higher standard of living.

  18. Try selling less expensive product. Even reduce the price on the product that you already sell. It might hurt your gross, but it will definitely help sales. Focus your specials more strongly around the first week of the month when the welfare checks come out. Lower prices until you build a strong customer base, and hope that they stick around.
    Most importantly, find out what the customers are looking for, and try to accommodate them.
