Russell Tillitt -CEO Russell has led Embee Mobile since its inception in August 2008, and has more than 12 years of mobile and telecommunications industry experience overall. As Embee Mobile’s CEO and Co-Founder, Russell developed Embee’s underlying technology, led initial product development, and continues to head all efforts regarding business strategy and team formation.

Prior to Embee Mobile, Russell worked as Vice President of Engineering for Beatnik, Inc, an industry-leading software and music content provider for mobile phones for 9 years. During that time, Russell gained extensive experience working with carriers and device manufacturers on mobile services that target low-cost, mass market handsets and prepaid subscribers, with particular focus on international markets, including India. At a previous company, Russell led the development of enterprise-grade solutions for large pharmaceutical companies.

Russell earned his BS in Mathematics at the University of Florida, and his MBA with honor s at UC-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Russell lives with his wife Candice and two children in San Francisco. Russell enjoys hiking, sailing and playing piano, including the occasional gig at local clubs and events.
