David Rosenblad has spent the last twenty-something years in almost every aspect of the sound and music industry, as a sound designer, composer, music producer, sound editor, and recording/mix engineer . He is president/owner of DRM Productions, Inc dba DRM: sir reel sound in Dallas.
Coming out of the Electronic Music Department of the University of North Texas, he embarked on a career as a recording and concert live engineer and producer as well as a sound designer for the theater earning the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre award for Sound Design in 1984. He has also won (purchased?) numerous Telly Awards.
David was the primary post sound editor/mixer at Dallas Sound Lab for many years , then formed the company DRM Productions in 1989 (incorporating in 2000), and later adopting the dba DRM: sir reel sound.
His company provides comprehensive post audio services for documentaries , feature films, episodic television, as well as TV and radio commercials, and music projects with clients including PBS, HBO, MTV, HDnet, History Channel , Think Film, New Films International and many others. He has worked with a wide variety of music artists such as Herbie Mann, Freddy Fender, the deathray davies, Everclear, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Allan Holdsworth, Cheap Trick, The Flaming Lips, Maynard Ferguson,Brave Combo, and Barney the Dinosaur.
He is also a Digidesign Pro Tools instructor teaching accelerated Pro Tools certification courses in Dallas.
He spends much of his his “non-session” time playing guitar for various outlets (including studio), practicing yoga and leading kirtan chanting (look it up) .
